The opportunity
Every day, thousands of visitors discover the taste of the Netherlands in our Amsterdam Cheese Company stores. As Store Manager, you'll lead an enthusiastic international team and make sure every customer leaves with a smile and hopefully their new favorite cheese.
You'll run one of our stores in the heart of Amsterdam with plenty of freedom and responsibility, backed by an experienced operational team. We'll teach you everything you need to know about our cheeses through our in-house cheese and sales training. And yes, tasting lots of cheese is definitely part of the job.

What you'll do
No two days are the same. One moment you'll be coaching your team, the next you'll be helping customers discover their perfect Dutch cheese. Together with your colleagues, you'll create a welcoming store where customers enjoy an unforgettable experience.
Your responsibilities include:
• Leading, coaching and motivating your store team
• Driving sales while creating an outstanding customer experience
• Making sure the store always looks its best and meets our quality and food safety standards
• Managing stock, deliveries and ordering products
• Monitoring store performance and working with the Operational Manager to identify opportunities for improvement
• Creating an inspiring working environment where everyone enjoys giving excellent service
Who are you?
You enjoy leading people just as much as creating memorable customer experiences. You're commercially minded, positive and love working in a dynamic international environment.
You'll also bring:
• Experience as a Store Manager or Team Leader in retail, hospitality or food
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Fluency in English (Dutch or any additional languages are a big plus)
• Availability to work full-time, including two weekends per month
• Residence in or near Amsterdam
• Plenty of positive energy and enthusiasm

Amsterdam Cheese Company was founded in 2013 and is part of CONO Kaasmakers, a cooperative of independent dairy farmers located just north of Amsterdam.
We work exclusively with passionate farmers who care deeply about their animals, the environment and producing exceptional milk. Combined with the rich Dutch pastures of North Holland, this results in cheese we're incredibly proud of.
Through our stores in the heart of Amsterdam, our Tasting Room and our webshop, we share our premium Dutch Gouda cheeses with visitors and cheese lovers from all over the world.
